Orchestra Wellington’s latest Baby Pops needs help from its young audience members.
The new show features a mystery and all the children will have to help him solve it, says Baby Pops presenter Thomas Goss.
Goss, who is the orchestra’s Education Composer in Residence, will become the Chief Musical Investigator for this show.
“We’ll have to investigate some very shady characters in the orchestra…..like the bassoons!” Goss says. “What do they get up to, hidden in the middle of the orchestra like that? Or the trombones - those trombones sitting up the back are always laughing - what’s up with that? They look guilty to me!”
Expect a very big surprise at the beginning of the concert, followed by great TV and movie themes such as Mission Impossible, James Bond, Get Smart and the Pink Panther theme as Goss and the audience try to solve the mystery.
As usual the fun includes the opportunity to sing along with some well-known favourites such as The Cat Came Back, and this time, there’s also a dance contest!
The show is suitable for children aged two to six and lasts one hour.
