Grandpa Figs to host Christchurch’s first Comedy Carnival

Comedian Management & Promotion Company, Grandpa Figs, is pleased to announce the launch of the Christchurch Comedy Carnival.

Due to take place next year on Wednesday 16 th March through to Sunday 27 th March, the Christchurch Comedy Carnival will celebrate the last few weeks of summer with comedians from around New Zealand and abroad set to take the stage. Applications are about to close, at which point Grandpa Figs will begin to announce line up details.

After a year of organising Comedy Gigs in and around New Zealand, Grandpa Figs is delighted to announce this major event for Christchurch City. Local Comedian, Snap Presented by RuseWebsites, runs the Christchurchbased company and he believes the Christchurch Comedy Carnival will be the hotspot for showcasing local and international talent.

Gigs will be held in across a range of yet to be announced local bars. There will be plenty of meet and greet opportunities, with Comedians willing to contribute to and support the expanding entertainment industry in Christchurch.

Christchurch Comedy Carnival is the first of its kind in Canterbury and Grandpa Figs is already looking at establishing it as an annual part of Christchurch’s entertainment scene.
