Neighbourly Giving Members Freshchoice And Supervalue

Neighbourly Giving Members Freshchoice And Supervalue

New Zealand’s free and private neighbourhood website Neighbourly.co.nz is proud to welcome a new partner on board - thanks to the support of community supermarket brands FreshChoice and SuperValue.

FreshChoice and SuperValue join Vodafone, ANZ, The Warehouse, AMI, Contact and Mike Pero in Neighbourly’s family of corporate partnerships. Their support contributes to the day-to-day running and ongoing development of the Neighbourly platform which now has over 295,000 active households across the country.

FreshChoice and SuperValue Marketing Manager Amanda Cassidy says they’re looking forward to using Neighbourly to keep members updated on community activities and sponsorships.

“The FreshChoice Community Fund and SuperValue Community Cash programmes are two examples of programmes we run that offer direct benefits directly to Kiwi communities,” she says. “Our partnership with Neighbourly is an opportunity to share a bit more about what we’re up to plus give Kiwis the chance to connect more closely with the team behind their local supermarket.”

Vouchers for FreshChoice and SuperValue will also be the new incentive for Neighbourly’s invite and win member recruit campaign. FreshChoice and SuperValue will also deliver weekly recipes to the popular Neighbourly Foodies Groups.

Neighbourly co-founder Casey Eden says local supermarkets play a pivotal role in our communities with FreshChoice and SuperValue proudly independently owned and operated.

“This is a community-minded group of supermarkets is owned by Kiwis who are living in our neighbourhoods and living and breathing what it means to be ‘local’,” he says. “Supermarkets are often the hub of our communities; a place where you’re not only stocking up to fuel yourself and the family but somewhere you’ll regularly bump into your neighbours too.

“FreshChoice and SuperValue are proud supporters of myriad community programmes and charities including Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, We Kiwi Care, and Bike Wise. A huge welcome to FreshChoice and SuperValue to Neighbourly.”

Neighbourly.co.nz fosters interaction and conversation between neighbours and the wider community by creating an easy way for them to connect via free and private websites for their suburbs. Since launching in June 2014 the site has grown to a membership of over 295,000 households with around 20,000 new members joining every month.

Members use Neighbourly.co.nz to exchange recommendations on local services, ask questions and share advice, find employment, plan events, discuss local issues and get to know one another on a more personal level.
