Stephen King Short Film

Stephen King Short Film

(PR.co.nz) Rhys Higgs is adapting Stephen Kings short story "The Last Rung On The Ladder" to short film. He intends to source all his actors locally to support a thriving film industry for young people. Rhys Higgs student film maker is using state of the art cameras and equipment to help his vision come to life. He hopes to use his film as a voice for people that suffer from depression and mental illness.

In order to reach this goal he needs to raise $100,000 to help his vision come to life. Depression can often led to suicide if left unnoticed for too long. Rhys wants to remove the stigma behind mental illness and help people suffering from this harrowing to realise they have a voice and to speak out about their suffering. The funds supporting Rhys' kickstarter project will go to supporting the local NZ film industry as an added bonus you'll help his message reach an international audience.

Rhys will use all proceeds to help his film reach the Cannes film festival to make his message a global phenomenon. This is a good karma campaign through supporting young people to follow their creative pursuits and aspirations. As well as this you will be raising awareness around depression and mental illness.
