Sons of Zion to play Hungover Tour encore show in Christchurch

Still pumped from back-to-back tours of Hawaii and the North Island, Sons of Zion have announced a one-off show in Christchurch - presented by Nesian Roots Entertainment.

New Zealand’s favourite sons of reggae will play a Hungover Tour encore show at The Bedford on Friday, October 21.

The band (Rio Panapa, Samuel Eriwata, Joel Latimer, Zane Graham, Caleb Haapuand Matt Sadgrove) have spent the year playing to audiences around the globe, including a recent tour in Hawaii, shows in Australia and their 17-date sold out HungoverTour of the North Island.

With a new album on the way, and a bunch of slots at some of summer’s biggest festivals, including One Love in Tauranga on Waitangi weekend 2017, Sons of Zion will first make a whirlwind visit to the Garden City to show love to their South Island fans.

Sons of Zion have gone from strength to strength since forming in 2007 and releasing their debut self-titled album in 2009. They hit their stride three years later with the release of the hit song ‘Good Love’, which has since clocked up an astounding 1.1 million plus views on YouTube. They followed it up with the equally successful‘Tell Her’, scoring #1 Airplay on the NZ charts.

Their sophomore album UNIVERSAL LOVE debuted at #3 on the Top 40 Album Chart, with the single ‘Superman’ establishing them as one of the country’s leading roots, reggae bands.
