Winter F.A.W.C! hits record ticket sales for 2017
Winter F.A.W.C! Food and Wine Classic tickets sales have gone gangbusters on opening day setting a new record for Winter F.A.W.C! tickets sales with 1000 tickets snapped up within 24 hours.
Tickets were released for pre-sale to the F.A.W.C! database at 9am on Monday morning and the phone lines, email and website channels have been inundated with punters from as far afield as the USA, all anxious to secure their tickets for Winter F.A.W.C! 2017.
Winter F.A.W.C! is in its fifth year and the event series has now firmly established itself on the national food and wine scene. Winter F.A.W.C! spans five weekends from 9 June – 9 July featuring 64 unique food and wine experiences in an array of stunning Hawke’s Bay landscapes and locations.
The first cab off the rank to sell out was “Temptasian” a culinary exploration of Asian flavours at Milk and Honey with chef super star Hayden Esau, leading to a second night of the hotly demanded event being added to the events programme on Saturday 17th of June.
Hawke’s Bay Tourism is the organisation behind F.A.W.C!, Hawke’s Bay’s flagship food and wine event and General Manager Annie Dundas said they were delighted with the response. “This is 5th year for Winter F.A.W.C! and it has grown quite considerably since it’s conception 5 years ago. We are thrilled with the support people give Winter F.A.W.C!”.
Other sold out events include The Truffle Trail with The Manse & Sacre Monte, The Prestige Dinner at Craggy Range and The Ladies Long Lodge Lunch at Craggy Range.
General sales opened on Tuesday 2nd of May at 9am and people wanting to enjoy the F.A.W.C! festivities have dived right in to avoid missing out on tickets.
