The Drone Film Festival Australia and New Zealand presented by SanDisk (DFFANZ) is ready for lift off and is taking the region by storm!

Having already dazzled Darwin at the Darwin International Film Festival, in its second year DFFANZ is currently en route to 11 cities across Australia and New Zealand.

Screenings will take place between 24 September - 05 November in Sydney (3 Oct, Dendy Newtown), Melbourne (5 Oct, Cinema Nova), Canberra (10 Oct, Dendy Cinema), Perth (12 Oct, Luna Cinema), Hobart (16 Oct, State Cinema), Adelaide (18 Oct, Mercury Cinema), Brisbane (24 Oct, Schonell Cinema), Auckland (30 Oct, Lido Cinema), Christchurch (1 Nov, Hollywood Cinema) and Wellington (2 Nov, Penthouse Cinema).

The program includes nearly 40 short films from over 25 countries all over the world, all shot on drones.

“Drone film has revolutionised cinematography, capturing the world from above to provide audiences with stunning images that have never before been possible. DFFANZ was created to showcase these films, screening short narratives and documentaries by established filmmakers, production companies, and everyday drone hobby enthusiasts.”

Elmedin Kumalic, Founder & Festival Manager

The best drone film from ANZ will win a SanDisk prize pack including a SanDisk WD Passport Wireless Pro 2TB, as well as the opportunity to shoot their next drone film in Thailand, with two return flights from Australia to Thailand thanks to Thai Airways along with $1,000 spending and accommodation for 10 days. Other prizes include DJI Mavic Pro from Harvey Norman, gear from Henty bags, Blackmagic Design camera equipment and software programs by Lightworks, Cyberlink, HitFilm and SkyTango.
