Aotearoa Music Awards Opens Voting For JD Sports Tā Te Iwi | People’s Choice Tūī

Voting for the Aotearoa Music Awards JD Sports Tā te Iwi | People’s Choice Award is now open.

AMA is proud to partner with leading global multi-channel retailer of sports fashion brand JD Sports to present the Tūī, the winner of which is decided entirely by public vote. The award was won in 2024 by Hori Shaw, who is up for Te Iti Rearea o te Tau | Breakthrough Artist of the Year at AMA 2025.

All AMA 2025 recording artist finalists are eligible to participate but may opt out if they wish. Voting is open to fans from around the world and closes at 5pm on Tuesday 27 May (NZT). Participants simply click on their favourite AMA 2025 artist in the voting portal and follow the instructions to place their vote.

Viewing information

AMA 2025 will take place on Thursday 29 May at the Viaduct Events Centre in Tāmaki Makaurau. The event will be livestreamed from 6pm via AMA Official Media Partner RNZ via rnz.co.nz and across its social media channels. Viewers who don’t catch the live broadcast will be able to stream the Awards on TVNZ+ from the evening of Friday 30 May.

The live broadcast and on-demand stream are funded by Irirangi Te Motu, NZ On Air and Te Māngai Pāho.
