ECC Awards 2025: Shortlisted Projects Announced
9 September 2025

The European Cultural Centre Italy (ECC Italy) is delighted to announce the 21 shortlisted projects for the ECC Awards 2025. All 207 practices from over 52 countries exhibiting in the seventh edition of Time Space Existence, were automatically eligible for the awards, offering an exciting opportunity for wider recognition in their respective fields. The winners of the ECC Awards will be officially announced during the closing event of Time Space Existence on 23 November 2025.
Since 2010, artists, architects, designers, and academics have been awarded by ECC Italy with the ECC Awards. Celebrating art, design, architecture and academic research, these awards recognise those rethinking space, people, materials, and perspectives to shape a better future.
A group of esteemed industry experts are carefully selecting the winners for this year’s edition of the ECC Awards. The jury is evaluating the shortlisted projects based on originality, execution, storytelling, and their ability to reflect on the biennial’s central themes of Repair, Regenerate, and Reuse, highlighted throughout the exhibition Time Space Existence.
The Jury
The jury is composed of five professionals working in the fields of architecture and design.

The Categories
This year’s edition of the ECC Awards will celebrate exceptional projects in the categories of Architecture, Design, University Project, and Art Installation.
- Architecture Project – Recognising outstanding built or unbuilt projects that redefine how we live, work, and interact with space;
- Design Project – Celebrating innovative design solutions that merge creativity with functionality;
- University Project – Showcasing visionary academic research work in architecture;
- Art Installation – Celebrating projects that adopt an artistic approach, utilising various media and/or creatively transforming the space.
