Computer Graphics Competition 2000

Release: University of Otago Press

Cash prizes for kids and computer hardware for schools are up for grabs again in the fourth annual computer graphics competition, run by the magazine Computers in New Zealand Schools.

Entries are expected from all over the country, and will be judged in three categories: ages 5-9, 10-12, and 13-18. Only original work will be accepted, and must be received by the competition deadline, 31 May 2000.

The three winning students will have their work published on the cover of Computers in New Zealand Schools and receive $100 each. Winning students' schools each receive an Iomega Zip drive and disks.

Computers in New Zealand Schools, published by the University of Otago Press, is this country's only magazine for teachers, from pre-school to tertiary level, who use computers in the classroom. The competition recognises and encourages the creativity and computer skills of children and youth, as well as providing teachers with an opportunity for class activities based around computer graphics.
