More Student Newspapers Online At Varsity.co.nz

New Zealand’s leading student portal (www.varsity.co.nz) now hosts the online editions of four of the nation’s student newspapers. This builds on developments last year, which saw both Chaff (Massey - Palmerston North) and Nexus (Waikato) gain an online presence with Varsity.co.nz. In 2001 Chaff and Nexus have been joined by Caclin (Lincoln) and Magneto (Massey – Wellington).

Varsity.co.nz Content Manager, Shane Hyde, stated “bringing these papers online is great for us and the papers as it provides Varsity.co.nz with high quality, regional content while allowing the student newspapers an online presence that places no financial and little operational strain on their tight resources.” Hyde also added, “we are in discussions with a couple more campus newspapers and hope to make further announcements very soon”.
