The Carter Observatory has been inundated with email from schools trying to find the new distance education web site after it was featured on TVNZ News last night.

An Observatory spokesperson said the new web site can be found at
http:// http://www.carterobservatory.net

Robert Shaw said the Observatory was delighted so many schools had taken an interest in the new NCEA astronomy unit standard course.

With its geographical reach spanning most of the South Island, the event, held at the Wolfbrook Arena in Christchurch, is geographically the biggest of the 12 kapa haka regions in New Zealand, and will showcase the best Māori cultural performances in the South Island. This year, the competition has the participation of 13 kapa haka teams, equalling the highest number in the event's history.
