NZQA listening to stakeholders

Media release

NZQA listening to stakeholders

Improvements to NZQA documentation from next year have resulted from consultation and show the Authority is listening to stakeholders, Business NZ Chief Executive Phil O’Reilly says.

“Based on employer feedback, Business NZ has made a number of suggestions for making results notices and records of learning easier to read, and it is pleasing those suggestions have been taken on board.

“Having a summary of achievement at the top of the Record of Learning and standards grouped by subject will make it easier for employers when comparing job applicants. Having simpler, shorter results notices will also help.

“Employers were early supporters of standards-based qualifications as these give more tangible information when choosing between job candidates, and it is good to see NZQA taking business needs seriously. It is important that NZQA continues to assist in building business understanding of the system, and continues to listen to feedback from employers.”
