Three years of hard work was put to the test today as hundreds of students across the country sat their State final exams to become registered nurses.

At Whitireia Community Polytechnic 44 third year Bachelor of Nursing students were sitting final exams alongside 18 Bachelor of Nursing (Pacific) third year students.

“It’s all over!” Said Bachelor of Nursing student Michelle Hansen. “Three years of hard work summed up in two one and a half hour exams is quite a challenge. It feels great to be all done and I can’t wait to get into the industry now.”

The students finished their last exam at 3pm today and were off to celebrate with classmates and family.

“I was told to study and study I did!” said fellow student Jessica Hawij. “All the work has paid off, I’m really confident with my efforts in the exam.”
