Auckland, New Zealand – 3 May 2010 - The Professional Bar and Restaurant School and Beam Global NZ announced the Beam Global Scholarship.

The Professional Bar and Restaurant School, widely regarded as New Zealand’s leading hospitality management institute, and Beam Global NZ, a leading consumer brands company, recently named one of the World’s Most Admired Companies by Fortune magazine, have joined forces to give one lucky student the chance of receiving the Beam Global Scholarship and a chance to pursue their dreams.

Students at the Professional Bar and Restaurant School will be able to apply for the one year scholarship for the first time this year. The scholarship has been established to award high achieving students of The Professional Bar and Restaurant School and support them in their studies and future careers.

Beam Global NZ approached PBRS after recognising the calibre of the career orientated hospitality students from the school as bar owners and managers of the future. The unique combinations of highly qualified industry experienced staff with realistic training facilities, and the latest relevant curriculum, are the main reasons for the high level of teaching and graduating students.

‘It is a great pleasure that the relationship between the Professional Bar and Restaurant School and Beam Global NZ has produced this opportunity’ said Hamish Small, PBRS General Manager. ‘The student that receives this scholarship will not only have the finest hospitality training experience at Diploma level but the opportunity to show their talent to industry throughout the country .’
