'P' Treatment - can it be handled within our community?
A significant workshop on the identification, intervention and effective treatment of 'P' and other drugs will be held at the Waipuna Lodge Tuesday 6 March at 9.30 am.
This workshop is about today's problems and the solutions that will work, based on experience from the people who work in this area, and most of the people affected who have been helped to handle their additions.

be:
Dr Marvin D. Seppala, MD - Chief Medical Officer Hazelden Foundation. Credited for the innovation of the Minnesota model of treatment, Hazelden has since 1949 helped over 250,000, and in 2005 nearly 8,800 patients and participants were involved in all of Hazelden's programs. The Minnesota Model is internationally recognized as the most widely used and effective treatment for alcohol and drug problems in the world..
James Randle Adair, D.O., PH.D. ' Adult Hospital Medicine, Presbyterian Medical Group, Albuquerque, NM and University of South Alabama Medical Center. Dr Adair is a certified member of the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He is on his way to present at a major medical conference in Australia.
Other speakers will include Tom Claunch, CAC, FACATA, Clinical Director of Capri Trust and a Panel of recovering former patients. This is practical success stories from those who have been there.
