Dad’s day outing - take the kids to City Medical in Napier for free immunisations

Hawke’s Bay District Health Board’s immunisation team are setting up shop from 10am till 1pm at City Medical in Napier this Sunday, Father’s Day.

Dads are encouraged to bring their babies and children aged over seven weeks to six years old to check they are up to date with their immunisations. Everyone attending has a chance to win a hamper of goodies as well as rugby tickets to see Hawke’s Bay’s rugby stars, the Magpies, in action. Members of the Magpies team will be at the clinic during the day.

Immunisation coordinator, Marg Dalton, said every baby and child has an electronic record of the immunisations they have received, so if you’re not sure whether your young one is up to date, either bring in your WellChild/Tamariki Ora book, or they can check on the computer when you come in. Dads – you will need to know your child’s date of birth!

“Childhood immunisations are free of charge – and provide protection against 10 diseases such as meningococcal disease, whooping cough, tetanus and hepatitis B

City Medical is based in the Napier Health Centre in Wellesley Road.
