you?
Could a career in the health sector be for you? Want to find out more? Then check out Just the Job on TV2 at 9.30am on Saturday 5 December for a special programme on careers in health.
Brought to the screen by Healthcareers, Dave Mason Productions Limited and TVNZ, Just the Job shows health professionals in action, following a patient from an accident through treatment to rehabilitation.
The roles profiled are ambulance officer, emergency department nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist and mental health roles including peer support workers. The programme follows several young people interested in these careers who get to ask all they want to know about the job and the training involved.
The programme is targeted mainly at students thinking of career choices and provides information for younger students thinking about their careers and making subject choices. It’s also an interesting way for anyone to find about what happens in the typical day of a health professional.
