APEX withdraws industrial action

APEX withdraws industrial action

Hawke’s Bay District Health Board is pleased to advise that APEX, (the Association of Professionals and Executive Employees) has withdrawn all notices of industrial action affecting the DHB’s radiology services - effective from 5pm last night.

Chief operating officer Warrick Frater said as of today normal daytime and out-of-hours radiology services would resume.

Mr Frater said he would like to thank the community and staff for their cooperation and support over the past 38 days of action, and over the coming days hoped the DHB would be able to clear wait list patients.

However, he continued to urge the public to leave the hospital’s busy Emergency Department for emergencies and seek help in the first instance from a GP for minor illnesses and ailments.
