Mental Health Awareness week: movie screening at LOT23

LOT23 is proud to host a Community Garden talk and
Movie Screening for the Mental Health Foundation

Tuesday October 7th 6-8pm

Next week (October 6-12) is Mental Health Awareness Week
and the theme this year is Keep Learning.

For the first time, the MHF, in association with its sponsors and partners, is holding workshops throughout the Auckland region to encourage people to Keep Learning, to help sustain and build up their mental wellbeing.

LOT23 will be screening New Zealand film The Neglected Miracle.

Artist AD Schierning will be speaking about a new healing native community garden project in Ponsonby – Hauora. All plants in the garden will have one of four attributes; native plants traditionally used for Rongoa Maori, introduced medicinal plants, edible plants and endangered native plants.

Followed by a screening of New Zealand film The Neglected Miracle.
Koha entry.

Keep Learning is about staying curious, embracing new things and expanding your horizons – all of which are proven to help build positive mental wellbeing.
