Key Canterbury organisations to advise community

Communication Managers from the Canterbury Regional Council, Christchurch City Council, Police, Fire Service, Orion, Department of Conservation, Canterbury Health, After Hours Surgery and St John’s Ambulance have been meeting about what the people of Canterbury need to know on the eve of the millennium.
This is the first time these groups have worked together for a joint advertising campaign.

Focus has been on supporting the Y2K Readiness Commission and also preparing people for the activities around Christchurch City on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s morning.

This launch is to explain the communication objectives, and outline the messages to the Canterbury community.
