One News/Colmar Brunton Poll Results

National: Up two points to 44 percent support.

Labour: down two points to 40 percent.

Greens: steady on four percent.

ACT: up one point, to four percent.

Alliance: unchanged on three percent.

New Zealand First: up one to three percent.

Leaders:

Helen Clark: down four points from last month to 30 percent.

Jenny Shipley: dropped five points to 16 percent.

Bill English: up two points to seven percent.

Jim Anderton: up to five percent

Winston Peters: up two points to five percent.

Economic Outlook:

Optimism up seven points to 41 percent

Pessimism down nine to 44 percent.

Government's Performance:

- 36 percent approve, up one point from last month

- 49 percent disapprove, down three points.

The poll surveyed 1000 voters, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.2 percent.
