12:15 Deborah Manning

Word’s getting around that the SIS have been interviewing as many as forty people; asking questions about New Zealand’s most famous Algerian Ahmed Zaoui. Several Algerian’s have had agents knock on their doors and one man claims to have been detained for five hours in an Auckland café where he was asked about his religious activities and his knowledge of Zaoui. Zaoui’s lawyer Deborah Manning is on the line at 12:15 to talk about what it means for her case.

12:45 Alistair Kwun

The Crouching Tiger Hidden Banana is the name of a conference in Auckland next week, which is to discuss what means to be a Chinese New Zealander. Bi-culturalism is the key theme but the conference also deals with business and artistic issues. To talk is the convenor Alistair Kwun.
