LEAD STORY:
Scoop Investigation: HIV/AIDS Poses Grave Threat To South Pacific

Scoop
Image: The Pacific's idyllic image is under threat from
HIV/AIDS.Reporter Marietta Gross and Scoop co-editor Selwyn Manning examine this most important issue and report that HIV/AIDS in the South Pacific is insidiously working its way into isolated communities with an infection rate that threatens cultural, economic, and community stability. Experts interviewed say HIV/AIDS, not global warming, is the number one problem threatening Tuvalu's survival. See... Time Runs Out On South Pacific HIV/AIDS Crisis [1] ALSO:

-The recent experience of Dr Michael Cullen seems to have given his colleagues ideas. - Tuesday's revelation that W. Mark Felt, the former number two man at the FBI, was the anonymous source known as Deep Throat, who helped Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein unravel the Watergate scandal in the pages of the Washington Post 30 years ago should be seen as an important reminder that even the leader of the free world can be devious, corrupt and dishonest.
