10.30: Ian Wishart, Editor of Investigate Magazine.

We tried to get Ian at the beginning of the week, but he was a bit busy. Ian and his magazine have had quite an effect on the NZ political scene in recent times, perhaps being a bit guilty of changing the focus of what's important in a politician, and what's not.

10.45: Dr Nagibullah Lafraie, Political Studies Dept, University of Otago

Dr Lafraie, a regular on Jonny's show, is a Middle East expert and has delivered lectures on Afghanistan (where he is originally from. He and his family came to NZ in 2000), Islam and the refugee situation. Here Dr Lafraie and Jonny will continue to discuss the situation in Iraq, the Middle East more generally and may even dip their toes in the latest from the UN General Assembly.

11.00: Ben C Vidgen

Ben C Vidgen is a tireless investigative journalist from Dunedin. Many in the South Island will be familiar with his free cafe publication, Deadline; a weekly magazine that gives readers mountains of stuff that the mainstream media won't near. Ben's latest book, State Secrets II, is being released just in time for the Dunedin Fringe Festival where he will do a reading.

11.30: Paul Buchanan, senior lecturer in the Political Studies Dept, University of Auckland

Paul Buchanan is an occasional regular on the morning spectrum. His background in intelligence and security (he has worked for the US State and Intelligence Departments) is invaluable. Today we thought we'd get his perspective global and national security 5 years on from 9/11.
