*12.20 Pita Sharples Last Thursday was Tariana Turia's 10th anniversary as an MP in Parliament, on the same day, the Maori Party's foreshore and seabed repeal bill was picked from the Private Members Bill ballot, after a fleeting 20 minutes in the box.

This is a somewhat crazy turn of events given that members bill can sit in the box for 2 years, sometimes they are never even drawn at all. Repealing of the Foreshore and Seabed legislation is the mandate upon which the party was set up originally and arguably the one that it was voted into parliament on. SO, Pita Sharples will be on the show to talk about what's in the bill at 12.20

*12.40 Paul Buchanan *On November 5th Nicaragua goes to the polls. Nicaragua has been the site of some dodgy politics and outright interference of the military variety provided by the US. Its an interesting time in Latin American politics at the moment and our resident expert on all things Latin American Paul Buchanan will be on the Wire at 12.40 to talk about what's ahead for this small republic.

*13.00 Rodney Hide * A disgruntled ACT board member last week made a fiery exit from the party claiming it is "on its knees" and destined for political oblivion. Andrew Fulford launched a scathing attack on the board, which he said was a glorified electorate organisation for leader Rodney Hide and a puppet of the "small and irrelevant caucus". Hide raised further eyebrows when he said ACT would consider a coalition with Labour if it promised to cut taxes. Is it a mid life crisis for the acts political battlers?
