PM On Saddam's Death Sentence, Iraq and Food Miles

The PM at the Natural History Museum
*********

On her whistle stop tour to celebrate the unveiling of the New Zealand Memorial in Hyde Park this weekend the Prime Minister found time to have a natter with the man most likely to replace Tony Blair as leader of the British Labour Party and therefore the next most likely Prime Minister of the UK – Gordon Brown.

After talking with Gordon Brown the PM headed off to give a speech at the Natural History Musem calling for urgent action to help save Robert Falcon Scott and Ernest Shackleton's Antarctic expedition huts.

The PM addressed this issue in a short meeting with the media following her talk. Also discussed was the PM's opposition to the death penalty handed out to Saddam Hussein and former George Bush I's advisor James Baker's insights into the future of Iraq. The PM also found time to attack the concept of food miles.
