Scoop Link - Times Newspapers' PJ Taylor reports that the NEW Zealand government has so far pledged $500,000 to relief and reconstruction efforts in Tonga’s devastated capital Nuku’alofa. The Times can reveal the amount will increase soon and significantly, as the government is due to release details of a full assistance package once approved by Cabinet ministers. That announcement is expected as early as next week.
