Risking sunburn and the sight
of too many Borat's in lime G strings Scoop's potentially
award winning photojournalists went in search of the real
spirit of the Wellington Seven's - the fans and their wacky
costumes. As usual there was plenty of medical types and
naughty policewomen – all well and good but the real
spirit exists in those willing to spend the day as Robby the
Robot and Barney Rubble (with attached stone age car) who
when Scoop saw him was having his wheels confiscated by
security. Fans' - Scoop salutes you – and if it wasn't
for the boring sport we'd be down there as well with bells
on!
