The Wednesday Wire Hosted By Paul Deady 21/03/07

1215 – Nandor Tanczos, Green Party Justice spokesperson

At quarter past 12 I'll be talking about the Criminal Proceeds recovery Bill, which passed it's first reading in Parliament yesterday. The Bill basically enables the crown to confiscate the assets of those they believe have profited from criminal activity. But it's not without it's problems, or it's detractors.. Nandor Tanczos, Green Party Justice spokesperson, will be on the line to tell us exactly what those problems are.

1245 – Steven McElroy, organiser for the National's "40 Below" Party

You may have read in the Sunday Star Times that the National Party is throwing a bash this weekend at the Carlton Hotel. They've invited us to groove into the future with John Key and his merry band of revellers. They don't call National a party for nothing. At 1245 I'll be speaking with the event organiser Steven McElroy, who might even be bringing in a couple of tickets which I imagine you're all gagging for.

1315 – John Ferguson, Project Manager for TVNZ Interactive Content

At quarter past one I'll be joined in the studio by John Ferguson who's the Project Manager for TVNZ Interactive Content. Yesterday they launched their on demand website, where you can go and watch repeats of shows current and shows not so current – their press release boasts the final of top town as one of the many gems on offer. All for a small fee of course. John will be here to describe how the thing works and answer some of the criticism that has been leveled at the project.

1345 – Rebecca Caughy, Music Manager's Forum

Rounding out the show at quarter to 2, Rebecca Caughy will be in the studio to talk about a seminar tonight aimed at musicians and music managers. She's a manager herself, looking after bands like Shapeshifter and will be one of the guest speakers at the event, dubbed Back to Basics. I'll be talking to her about how to manage yours, or someone elses band in this myspace era we live in.

Aucklanders can tune in at 95 on the FM dial.
