terminal news-stand and scanned the titles. Amidst the
women's glossies, a cover photo of a cherubic little girl in
pink caught my eyes. Her blond locks seemed to cover up a

all too well a handful of physical traumas. They might have
been painful but transient, or have had a lifelong impact.
They might have been funny at the time, funny later, or just
