As I write this the House is appears to be about to pass a bill that grants the surveillance powers sought by an Administration that violated the law when it began spying operations shortly after 9/11.
The evidence here suggests that the NSA began tapping into millions of phone conversation and emails beginning in late 2002 or early 2003 illegally, in violation of the Constitution The evidence is quite compelling and a class action suit against the AT&T is now moving ahead in the 9th District.
The lawsuit against AT&T and Verizon and the evidence outlined in these two articles and the documents at the website of the Electronic Frontier Foundation have not been covered adequately by your network or media outlet in the wake of recent 'clarifications' by Gonzales regarding "other intelligence activities" at issue at the time of his hospital bedside visit to then AG Ashcroft in 2004. This brings shame on you and the entire fifth estate. Hopefully you will remedy this in the wake of the passage of this new FISA Bill and after full review of the
