Residential 100/50Mbps fibre plans compared August 2013

Chorus plans to offer a 200Mbps residential fibre service in the near future and a 1Gbps service later. Until then data speed fans will have to make do with the 100/50Mbps plans being offered to homes on the ultrafast broadband network.
Here's a round-up of the fast UFB services currently on offer to residential users. Businesses can tap into a different set of plans more suited to their needs.
We tried to get as many 100/50Mbps plans as we could find. There may be omissions as new products and service providers are coming on line all the time.And the elephant in the room is Vodafone which has yet to formally offer a UFB service although there are exceptions.
We also found some UFB service providers don't offer 100/50Mbps plans at the moment. That may change.
There's a wide range of prices. Some of the differences can be explained by the way certain providers bundle other services and some expect upfront installation payments. Telecom expects customers to keep a copper phone line while most other companies offer VoIP services. It's worth looking closely at the fine print before committing.

unlimited plan has fair use limits and the company pools
available data. Read that as "if you're a huge user you may
run up against the limits of unlimited".
