Treaty Bills Progress

Parliament adjourned just before 1pm after making progress on a number of treaty settlement bills.

The first readings of the Te Urewera-Tūhoe Bill, Ngāti Hauā Claims Settlement Bill, Ngāti Koroki Kahukura Claims Settlement Bill and the second reading of theMokomoko (Restoration of Character, Mana, and Reputation) Bill were all agreed on a voice vote.

The House will resume at 2pm for Question Time. After this and the General Debate MPs will debate member’s bills.
