Veterans And Victims To Be Priority

After a two week adjournment, the Government intends to give priority to the Veterans' Support Bill, Deputy Leader of the House Anne Tolley said today.

In the Business Statement, Tolley said when the House next resumed on May 6, the Government would also seek to make progress on the Vulnerable Children Bill and Victims' Orders Against Violent Offenders Bill.

The first Wednesday would be a Members’ Day and the House would sit on Thursday morning to progress treaty settlement bills.

The Attorney General’s Bill of Rights Act report on the Parole (Extended Supervision Orders) Amendment Bill was presented as was the report of the Representation Commission.

The Auditor-General’s reports “Central government sector: Results of the 2012/13 audits (Volume 2)” and its “Draft Annual Plan 2014/15” were presented.

A number of select committee reports were presented including the:
