Flag Bill Leave Denied

When Parliament resumed at 2pm leave was sought to introduce a bill to increase the number of flags in the referendum from four to five.

Green MP Gareth Hughes asked that his bill (which would have allowed the “Red Peak” flag to take part in the first referendum) be introduced today and passed through all stages.

Leave was declined by a number of NZ First MPs.

The Parole Board Annual Report was introduced and MPs began Question Time.
