MAORI CITIZENSHIP: Minister of Immigration intends to take action against a South Auckland legal center involved with the Maori citizenship row. Manakau Legal Services is not a law firm says the Minister. The business says it has done nothing wrong.

GOD'S ARMY: The Prime Minister of Thailand has arrived to talk to Burmese guerillas -self style as God's Army - who have taken hundreds of hostages in a hospital. The hostage takers have asked for helicopters.

AMERICAS CUP: High winds could disrupt the Louis Vuiton Cup finals series due to start today. At present winds are gusting to 40 knots on the course.

ANTARCTIC REUNION: Scott Base is to host a reunion of pioneer polar explorers involved in a race to the South Pole in the 1960s.

NORTHERN IRELAND: Irish police have intercepted an arms cache on the move in Ireland. The arms belong to the "continuity IRA" a dissident IRA group which wants to continue the war to liberate Ireland.
