TODDLER DEATH SENTENCE: The family of a 3-year-old New Plymouth girl who died in an accident are pleased with the sentence of the driver of the police car that hit her. David Craig was given 200 hours community service, a $3500 fine and disqualified for two years. Craig's lawyer says he began a life sentence the day he killed the little girl. Craig has offered his life's savings to the greiving parents. Family are happy with the sentence.

LUCKY LANDING: A group of passengers are shaken not hurt after a charter plane made a belly landing in Taupo.

SATANIC LESBIANS: Devastating news for a Christchurch woman attacked and left for dead in . Her attackers - two Australian satanic lesbians have had their sentences reduced. The sentences of the attackers have been reduced from 20 to 16 years and 11 to 9 years respectively.

ST STEPHENS: Minister of Maori affairs visits St Stephens school to stamp out violent behaviour in the school. Dover Samuels said the school was not solely to blame for the violence. The school has been plagued by violence for a decade. Principal says the school is not alone - "but I don't think that matters, what matters is that it happened here and we don't want that."

JOHN TAMIHERE: MP John Tamihere is putting his career on the line tonight offering to resign if any wrong-doing on his part can be proved . An associate of Tamihere has been convicted of stealing $56,000 of lotteries money on petrol and clothes. The PM says her MP should not be tainted by the conviction of a friend. Tamihere gave the accused a character reference in court. The ACT leader is maintaining his call for an inquiry into what happened at Te Waipareira Trust.
