CANCER INQUIRY: The Dominion leads today with the banner headline “Bottrill gets cold shoulder – I am very sorry this has happened”. Dr Bottrill is pictured looking pensive and 13 women and a man are pictured with their backs turned as he delivered his apology. The rport says some women turned their backs, some clapped, many wept, but those at the heart of the Gisborne cervical screening inquiry got an apology at last from the man who allegedly misread their cervical smears.
