RESTORATIVE JUSTICE: The Dominion leads today with a report that serious criminals could avoid jail if they took part in a $4.9 million “restorative justice” pilot programme announced by the Government yesterday, Courts Minister Matt Robson said.

CHRISTIAN MARCHERS: The front-page photo shows the faithful holding a Christian rally at Parliament on Saturday.

- LEWD SHANE WARNE: a report that a 22-year-old nurse said she received phone calls from Australian cricket-player Shane Warne after she spurned his advances in a British nightclub, the Mirror newspaper said at the weekend;

- SOLOMON ISLANDS: a report that Foreign Affairs Minister Phil Goff arrived triumphantly home from the Solomon Islands yesterday after negotiating the rescue of 150 people from the strife-torn Pacific Island country.
