Florida Police Make Arrest - Florida police say a nz woman is delighted that they have arrested for her rape in 1981 - Florida police captain said the nz woman is more than available to travel to the usa for trial.

Cancer Drugs More Available - Cancer Society says changes to the way cancer drugs are made available will improve the quality of life for many people. Minister of Helath says from October 1 everybody will be ntitled tot he same cancer drugs irrespective of where they live. This follows a report that shows significant numbers of patients are being denied effective therapy because of different regional approaches. The president of the cancer sociey says many patients that have been forced to pay for their own drugs will welcome the changes.

Meningitis Warning - Health officials in Canterbury are concerned that the flu symptoms may be confused with meningitis - already a two year old girl has died from meningitis after being treated for a chest infection - the similarities between the flu and meningitis could see other cases being overlooked.
