Car stolen and two injured in Robbery. Police are searching for a 2004 Brown Toyota Vitz, Registration HYT799, that was stolen from Mt Smart Road, Onehunga at 9.30pm tonight. The female driver had just arrived home and whilst exiting her vehicle was approached by a lone male offender.
Her husband hearing her cries for help came to her aid and was badly assaulted and knocked unconscious.
The offender has then viciously assaulted his wife.
Both victims have a range of injuries and may both have broken jaws.
They have been admitted to Auckland Hospital. The offender is described as Male 20ish, 185cm tall, solid build, short black hair, clean shaven, wearing Black baseball cap backwards, black trousers, Black singlet. Someone will know the offender for this vicious cowardly assault and we ask that they come forward and help police to find him.
