AUCKLAND POLLUTION: The Herald leads today with a report that Auckland has become the big smoke in more ways than one: the country's largest city yesterday received its worst air-pollution report in years.

BIG SNOW: The front-page photo shows an Aucklander on the road to Turoa ski-field yesterday with a snowman.
