Number of MPs – World Cup Rugby – Tongue Bite – Clark On Indonesia – Stephen Anderson

NUMBER OF MPS: The Evening Post leads tonight with a report that Deputy PM Wyatt Creech today threw his weight behind the campaign to cut the number of MPs saying Parliament would be more effective with fewer people.

WORLD CUP RUGBY: The front page photo shows All Black Jonah Lomu on the charge against the team from his native Tonga at the World Cup. It is headed “Jonah’s Back….but what about the others.”

- TONGUE BITE: a report that a Tauranga man who tried to kiss his wife after an argument ended up in hospital after she allegedly bit off part of his tongue;

- CLARK GETS TOUGH ON INDONESIA: a report that Labour Leader Helen Clark has called on Indonesia to make reparation for its scorched earth policy in East Timor;
