Even Labour Gets The Facts From ACT

Government MP’s have been using ACT’s website to get information on the Employment Relations Bill, said ACT Leader, Hon Richard Prebble.

ACT has always lead New Zealand in e-politics and has won numerous plaudits for its website. It was voted by Wellington Chamber of Commerce members as the leading source of New Zealand political information in a recent survey.

“It is good to see the Labour Party are seeking the facts on the Employment Relations Bill from New Zealand’s most authoritative political website.

“ACT’s website had a whopping 185,169 hits last week. Most were from business people seeking Employment Relations Bill information, however other visitors included, Labour’s parliamentary research unit, Matt Robson’s press secretary and Graham Kelly’s executive secretary.

“Having conducted over 60 meetings around New Zealand on the ERB to over 10,000 New Zealander’s, ACT is now seen as the leading, best-informed and most trustworthy supporter of small and medium business in New Zealand.

“The feedback ACT has received from middle New Zealand over the ERB has been depressing. Many employers have tracked the Bill’s parliamentary progress on the ACT website, and the vast majority expressed great concern at the rapid, cloak-and-dagger progress the Bill made through the House.

“ACT believes the Employment Relations Bill is a union payback by the Government that will result in an extremely difficult and uncompetitive business environment for the average Kiwi employer.

“ACT will continue to publish on our website New Zealand’s most accurate and timely information on the Employment Relations Bill for all New Zealanders benefit, no matter what their political persuasion,” said Hon Richard Prebble.
