PM Announces Changes To Ministerial Portfolios

Prime Minister Helen Clark today announced a minor reshuffle of ministerial portfolios.

Helen Clark said that her main concern was to relieve workload pressures on the Leader of the House, Michael Cullen, and the Deputy Leader of the House, Mark Burton, who also carry heavy portfolio responsibilities.

"George Hawkins will take over Mr Burton's Internal Affairs portfolio.

"Matt Robson will become the Minister for Land Information.

"Laila Harre will become Minister of Statistics.

"Paul Swain will become Associate Minister of Finance, Revenue and Land Information," Helen Clark said.
