Sympathy For Soldier's Family And Colleagues

National's Defence spokesman Max Bradford today extended his sympathies to the family, friends and work colleagues of New Zealand soldier Private Boyd Atkins who died in East Timor.

Mr Atkins was found presumed drowned at Hera, a leave centre used by soldiers serving in East Timor.

"Any death while a soldier is away serving his country is tragic for the family and colleagues. I extend my sympathies at this difficult time to the family of Private Atkins," Mr Bradford said.
