Robson Desperate For Publicity
9th May 2002
Corrections Minister Matt Robson must be desperate for publicity for his new PC Party, given his re-announcement of a policy for kaumatua in prisons, says National's Justice spokesperson Wayne Mapp.
"Similar programmes involving kaumatua and Maori culture in prisons have been in place for many years. The goals are laudable, but re-jigging existing programmes just shows a lack of new ideas.
"The pressure must be getting to Matt Robson and
his PC Party as they realise their time in office is running
out," said Dr Mapp. Ends
