Chile and New Zealand to discuss closer links
Chile and New Zealand primary industry representatives will meet soon to discuss their primary production sectors, their agriculture ministers announced today.
New Zealand agriculture minister Jim Sutton and Chile agriculture Minister Jaime Campos discussed mutual cooperation between Chile and New Zealand during a meeting at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation's World Food Summit - Five Years Later meeting in Rome yesterday.
They agreed to convene a meeting of various primary sector representatives of both countries in August to take cooperation further. That meeting will be held in New Zealand, and will further broaden and deepen links across the Pacific between two agricultural, forestry and fisheries exporting economies with many common interests.
