National Ship On The Rocks – Listing Precedes Sinking

“The New Zealand voter is not going to buy into a return to the failed policies of 1984-1996,” the New Zealand First Leader Winston Peters said while campaigning in Kawerau today.

“Fay Richwhite and their ilk’s control of the National Party continues with the compilation of that Party’s list, as departing National MP Brian Neeson recently proclaimed.

“Unfortunately for National the world has moved on. We have seen the error of myopic monetary policy, of wholesale privatization programmes, and of socially divisive policies that abandoned standards, service and people, Mr Peters said

“We don’t want to sell the last remaining assets so that another government can buy them back later. We certainly don’t want to return to CHEs and RHAs. Neither do we want any more disruption than we have already got in our health and education systems.

“What New Zealanders want is a concentration on the basics. They want a sound economy that focuses on export performance and not on paper shufflers. They want to heal the divisions in our society, and they want top quality social services and security on our streets.

“This list spells doom for National. The ship is sunk,” Mr Peters said.
